Return and Refund Policy

At The Basement, we take pride in the quality of our products. Due to the exclusive nature of our inventory, we only accept returns and issue refunds under the conditions outlined below.

  

1. Eligible Returns

We accept returns only for the following reasons:

  • Damaged products (including damage that occurs during shipping)
  • Incorrect fit, provided the item meets all return condition requirements

No other reasons for return or refund are accepted.

  

2. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • The item must be unworn and unused
  • The item must be in brand-new condition
  • All original tags must be attached
  • The item must not be washed
  • Items returned due to fit may only be tried on briefly to assess size or fabric feel
  • Items must show no signs of wear, damage, odors, or alterations

Exception:
Items that arrive damaged due to shipping may be returned even if damage occurred during transit.

Any item that does not meet these conditions will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer at their expense.

  

3. How to Initiate a Return

All returns must be initiated by contacting our support team.

  • Reason for return (damaged item or incorrect fit)
  • Photos of the item (required for damaged items)

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

  

4. Return Shipping Process

Once your return request is approved:

  • We will provide a return shipping label
  • The item must be shipped back using the provided label
  • Returned items will be sent to our warehouse for inspection

We are not responsible for items lost or damaged if returned without using the provided shipping label.

  

5. Refunds & Replacements

After we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, or
  • Replacements will be sent if requested and if the product is available

Refunds are processed only after the item passes inspection. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

If a replacement is requested but the item is no longer available, a refund will be issued instead.

  

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Items returned for reasons other than damage or incorrect fit
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or used
  • Items without original tags attached
  • Final sale items (if marked as such)

  

7. Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, you must contact us within a reasonable timeframe after delivery and provide clear photos of the damage. Damage caused after delivery due to normal wear or misuse is not eligible for return.

  

8. Policy Enforcement

We reserve the right to deny any return that does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy. Abuse of the return process may result in refusal of future returns or orders.
